Sasol Lake Charles Chemical Complex - Cracker and Derivatives Project

Westlake, LA

MMR performed electrical, instrumentation and start-up for Sasol’s Lake Charles Chemical Complex - Cracker and Derivatives Project in Westlake, LA. MMR’s scope of work included ductbanks and manhole installations, finish assembly of 12 substations, high voltage cable installation and termination to 8 substations, grounding, cable tray, cable and fiber optics, lighting systems along with Public Address and General Alarm (PAGA) and camera installations. With a contract value of over $320 million for MMR, the project brought together at its peak 1,400 MMR employees logging approximately four million work-hours. MMR is proud to be consistently recognized for its safe work practices throughout the project.

OCI/Iowa Fertilizer Company IFCO Nitrogen fertilizer plant commissioning

MMR won the ABC Eagle Safety Award for its safe work practices on the IFCo Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant Project. The IFCo Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant is one of the largest fertilizer plants in the world at over 1.5 million metric tons of products produced each year. The project included an ammonia plant, nitric acid plant, UAN plant, product storage, loading and OSBL facilities. MMR was responsible for successfully executing the electrical and instrumentation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities for all disciplines of construction on the project. Upon successful start-up, MMR stayed on to support operations, assist in training and help the plant develop maintenance and reliability plans.
