MMR Partners with Hammons Employment Leadership Program
September 24, 2019
MMR’s Corpus Christi District hosted the Hammons Employment Leadership Program and students at MMR’s Ingleside Craft Training facility. Students were introduced to the basics of industrial electrical and instrumentation trades. MMR staff worked to spark student interest in the construction field, and educated them of the benefits of a career in skilled trades - emphasizing good pay and benefits.
Hammons Employment Leadership Program (HELP) works to grow the workforce of the Texas Coastal Bend region by placing junior and senior high school students, disabled students and those in the Juvenile Justice Center in lucrative careers with local employers. They have introduced over 4,000 students to the job of their dreams through HELP’s programs.
