MMR Named Number One Trade, Electrical Contractor in the Nation by Associated Builders and Contractors

BATON ROUGE, LA –MMR is proud to announce its designation as the nation’s highest-performing electrical contractor and highest-performing trade contractor by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) on its 2024 Top Performers List. In addition to these prestigious rankings, MMR was named the nation’s seventh top-performing contractor overall and fifth top-performing industrial contractor.

We recognize our achievements as a testament to our dedicated workforce, valued clients and unwavering commitment to superior safety and quality standards across all operations.”

ABC’s Top Performers List recognizes achievements in project excellence, safety, quality, diversity, inclusion and special designations, ranked by 2023 work hours. The list comprises member contractors that achieved ABC’s STEP Gold designation or higher and earned ABC’s Accredited Quality Contractor (AQC) credential last year.

ABC presented MMR with several special designations in 2023 that contributed to its top-performer rankings, including its STEP Diamond designation and multiple Excellence in Construction awards. MMR demonstrated outstanding safety standards by achieving Diamond Level in the Associated Builders and Contractor’s STEP management system, a designation that ranks MMR’s safety performance 688% higher than the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics industry average. In 2023, MMR recorded an impressive 14 million work hours, a Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) of 0.09 and an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 0.60.

MMR also maintains ABC’s AQC credential, certifying its commitment to quality construction, world-class safety, financial fitness, community enrichment and workforce development. As an Accredited Quality Contractor, MMR is dedicated to leading the industry in prioritizing safety, quality, training and community engagement in all operations.

In addition, MMR was recognized by the Baton Rouge and New Orleans chapters of ABC for its superior safety standards and outstanding performance on several notable projects in Louisiana, Kentucky and Colorado. MMR received four Excellence Awards, the highest honor a project can achieve, one Merit Award, the second highest honor a project can achieve, and a Diamond STEP Award, presented for outstanding safety practices. MMR’s River Birch Landfill – C12 Expansion Project in Avondale, LA, was named the best overall project by the ABC Bayou Chapter of New Orleans. MMR’s winning projects below have been nominated for national recognition in March at the 34th Annual ABC National Convention in Kissimmee, FL.
