MMR Named Among Nation’s Top-Performing Electrical, Trade Contractors by Associated Builders and Contractors

BATON ROUGE, LA – MMR is proud to announce its distinguished placement on the Associated Builders and Contractors Top Performers List, ranking as the second top-performing electrical contractor and second top-performing trade contractor in the nation. In addition to these prestigious rankings, MMR was named the nation’s sixth top-performing contractor overall and fifth top-performing industrial contractor.

ABC’s Top Performers List ranks member contractors by hours worked in 2022 and honors achievements in project excellence, safety, quality, diversity and equity, inclusion and special designations. The list comprises member contractors that achieved ABC’s STEP Gold designation or higher and earned ABC’s AQC credential last year.

In 2022, MMR recorded an impressive 9.8 million work hours, a Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) of 0.08 and an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 0.66. MMR also demonstrated outstanding safety standards by achieving Diamond Level in the Associated Builders and Contractor’s STEP management system, a designation that ranks MMR’s safety performance 655% higher than the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics industry average.

ABC presented MMR with several special designations in 2022 that contributed to its top-performer rankings, including its STEP Diamond designation and multiple Excellence in Construction awards. MMR was recognized by the Baton Rouge and New Orleans chapters of ABC for its superior safety standards and outstanding performance on several notable projects in Louisiana and Texas. MMR received six Excellence Awards, the highest honor a project can achieve, two Merit Awards, the second highest honor a project can achieve, and a Diamond STEP Award, presented for outstanding safety practices.
