Fabricated Pipe, Inc. Hosts Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

BATON ROUGE, LA –MMR Group, Inc. showcased all improvements to Fabricated Pipe’s facility in Fernwood, MS during a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 20, 2024. The renovations demonstrate MMR’s commitment to providing exceptional services and opportunities to the clients and communities that we serve.

“Fabricated Pipe is a service-oriented business, and those services are only as good as the people who provide them,” said MMR President and CEO James B. “Pepper” Rutland. “We strongly believe that people are our product, and we feel this investment in shop upgrades and state-of-the-art equipment will increase efficiency, provide enhanced precision and equip the team to handle growing capacity.”

The improvements include, but are not limited to:

  • New roof and exterior to all existing buildings
  • New separation partition between alloy steel and carbon steel shops
  • Expanded shop and added a new bridge crane
  • Expanded office space with renovated office areas, restrooms & breakroom
  • New 4,800 sq. ft. Hydro test building with a 10-ton bridge crane
  • Two new 6,000 sq. ft. “open-air” covered paint shops
  • New 58,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled storage and fabrication building with both 5-ton and 10-ton bridge cranes
  • An additional 21 acres purchased to expand the laydown area and give the team more room for paint
  • A plan for a new employee parking lot

Attendees were given a tour of the facility, which included a demonstration of new equipment along with an overview of all current and planned improvements. Following the tour, the team celebrated this milestone with a companywide Thanksgiving luncheon where FPI President Dustin Polito recapped notable achievements in 2024 and provided a vision for the company’s future.

MMR acquired Fabricated Pipe, Inc. in spring of 2023 after serving as an affiliated company of MMR and its shareholders since 2005. Fabricated Pipe has built a tradition of excellence by providing clients with safety, quality, and precision in workmanship through the production and sale of pipe fabrication services for over 25 years.
