MMR Upgrades Its Craft Training Program

October 16, 2018

BATON ROUGE, La. – MMR recently made enhancements to its Craft Training Program, in Baton Rouge, La., with the addition of seven work stations and new flooring at the 7,500 square-foot facility.

The Craft Training Center was established in 2014 with the goal of redefining the industry standard of qualified craftspersons and supervisors. It is considered one-of-a-kind in its industry with the ability to train and evaluate MMR employees in-house rather than sending them to a third-party vendor.

“We are excited to remain on the cutting edge of training and workforce development initiatives to ensure our clients receive the safest, most qualified craftsmen in the industry,” said MMR President/CEO James “Pepper” Rutland. “At its inception, employees were evaluated by a NCCER master trainer at 29 stations, which I’m proud to say has now grown to 36 with the recent improvements.”

MMR is a NCCER Accredited Training Sponsor and Accredited Assessment Center, providing Electrical, Instrumentation, and Industrial Maintenance Electrical and Instrumentation Technician certifications. Its training programs offer NCCER “Knowledge Verified”, NCCER “Performance Verified”, and “MMR Verified” Certifications. In addition, MMR has developed an Electrical Journeyworker Apprenticeship training program approved by the U.S. Department of Labor and the State of Louisiana.
