July 22, 2021

BATON ROUGE, La. – MMR was awarded the South Texas Industrial Industry Safety Excellence Award for its performance on the Gulf Coast Growth Ventures (GCGV) Project by the Contractors Safety Council of the Port Industries of Corpus Christi. The safety excellence award recognizes workhours and total recordable incident rates over a three-year period. MMR at GCGV recorded over 201,000 workhours with no recordable lost time incident.

“For 30 years, MMR has maintained a solid foundation built upon rigorous standards in safety excellence, and we are proud to be recognized for our efforts by the South Texas Industrial Industry,” said MMR President/CEO James B. Rutland. “I commend our GCGV employees for their hard work and dedication to maintaining a safe work environment.”

The South Texas Industrial Safety Excellence Award conveys strong support of contractor safety performance in full recognition of the fact that contractors have the primary responsibility for execution of on-site safety, working in conjunction with the owner, architects, and engineers, to ensure an overall safe workplace.
