MMR Receives First Place Safety Excellence Award from GBRIA

BATON ROUGE, LA - MMR received 1st place in the Specialty Trade Hard Craft Category for Division III / 10 million+ work hours for the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA) Contractor Safety Excellence Awards. Nominated by several customer sites, MMR was honored to be recognized for its superior safety practices in 2019. MMR finished the year with over 10.4 million work hours and a Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) of 0.10.

“To be recognized for our excellence in safety is a tremendous honor and success for MMR,” said MMR President/CEO James “Pepper” Rutland. “MMR has built a solid foundation on safety and quality, and we are committed to keeping these values at the forefront of our operations.”

In addition to receiving the 2020 Safety Excellence Award, MMR has been consistently recognized by GBRIA at its annual Craft Workforce Development Awards Program for investment in workforce development programs that include recruitment, assessment, training, career path development and retention of employees.

In lieu of an awards ceremony due to COVID-19, GBRIA published an e-magazine to congratulate all nominees and award recipients.
