MMR Receives Contractor’s Safety Excellence Award from the Gulf Coast Safety Council for Outstanding Safety Performance

BATON ROUGE, La. – MMR received the Gulf Coast Safety Council's (GCSC) Contractor's Safety Excellence Award for specialty contractors at the 18th annual awards banquet, held May 3, 2018, at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center in Luling, La.
The Contractor's Safety Excellence Award honors local contractors and owners who achieved outstanding records of safety performance. MMR received a multiple-locations Outstanding Safety Performance Award for the best performance during 2017 among the companies classified as Specialty Contractors with 100,000 to 500,000 work hours. MMR was nominated for this award based on performance at Dow St. Charles, NuStar, Phillips 66, United Bulk Terminals, Valero St. Charles, Valero Mereaux, Shell Norco and Monsanto.
GCSC provides high quality industrial education for plant personnel and contract workers. Since its inception, GCSC annually has trained approximately 22,000 workers in generic industrial safety orientation.
