MMR Named Texas and Louisiana Specialty Contractor of the Year by Engineering News-Record

MMR Group, Inc. is recognized by Engineering News-Record as the 2025 Texas and Louisiana Specialty Contractor of the Year. This award represents MMR’s continued leadership and excellence in the electrical and instrumentation industry.

MMR President and CEO James B. “Pepper” Rutland shares that work in the LNG and data center sectors have kept our Texas and Louisiana locations busy. “Rather than wandering off to other sectors that maybe we might not be good at, we’ve strived to achieve excellence in trying to be the best electrical contractor, with the best personnel to do this work.”

In addition to being named Texas and Louisiana Specialty Contractor of the Year, MMR was named 16th largest specialty contractor in the nation on the Top 600 List and ranked 5th on the electrical firm list in 2025.
