MMR Launches Partnership with LSU Student-Athletes

Recognizing Excellence On the Field and In the Classroom

MMR Group, Inc. has launched a new Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) partnership with LSU student-athletes, introducing the MMR All-Academic Team to recognize individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence both on the field and in the classroom.

This partnership reflects values that have long been central to MMR’s culture, including hard work, teamwork, and commitment to continued growth. These values also carry a personal connection for MMR President and CEO James “Pepper” B. Rutland, a former LSU football student-athlete who understands firsthand the dedication required to succeed both on the field and in the classroom. By recognizing the effort that takes place beyond game day, MMR hopes to celebrate the work behind each student-athlete’s success and the qualities that prepare them for opportunities beyond the field.

As America’s workforce continues to evolve, careers in the trades offer growing opportunities for individuals seeking meaningful, high-impact work with strong long-term potential. Through MMR University, the MMR Craft Training Center, and registered apprenticeship programs, MMR is committed to developing the next generation of skilled professionals and creating pathways to rewarding careers.
