MMR Celebrates Veteran Workforce

MMR hosted our annual Veterans Day event to honor our employees who have served. As part of the event, MMR raised $30,000 that was donated to veteran organizations, One Tribe Foundation and United States Veteran Service Dogs.

During the event, veterans were recognized for their service. The event also featured guest speakers including MMR leadership, MMR veterans, and representatives from One Tribe Foundation and United States Veteran Service Dogs. They talked about their time in service and how the transferable skill sets they learned translate to their personal and professional lives today.

Following the speakers, MMR President/CEO James B. ‘Pepper’ Rutland presented checks of $15,000 each to One Tribe Foundation and United States Veteran Service Dogs on behalf of MMR.

The evening was filled with recognition and live music by Kendall Shaffer, a silent auction, and raffle. The lively atmosphere and great entertainment made for a memorable evening.

One Tribe Foundation’s mission is to create a community that raises awareness and combats suicide by empowering Veterans, law enforcement, first responders, and their families through traditional and non-traditional therapies.

United States Veteran Service Dogs is dedicated to helping veterans reclaim their independence and achieve a new sense of normalcy through expertly trained service dogs.
