MMR Apprenticeship Program receives Certification by U.S. Department of Labor
January 22, 2015
MMR is proud to announce that its Craftsmen Training Center has been officially recognized and certified by the United States Department of Labor, as well as the State of Louisiana, for its Apprenticeship Program.
The Apprenticeship Program will provide MMR personnel the unique ability to receive instrumentation and electrical accreditations in-house rather than sending its craftsmen to an outside entity for training and certification.
With an estimated $60 billion in construction projects coming to the Gulf South region over the next several years, the demand for skilled craftsmen is at an all-time high. Recognizing this need, MMR created the Craftsmen Training Center/Apprenticeship Program to provide an arena where its personnel can receive nationally-recognized training and certification not only to benefit the employee and company, but to contribute to the success of the industry as a whole.
MMRs 15,000-square-foot training center features a state-of-the-art classroom and nearly 30 workstations where craftsmen will receive instruction and hands-on training and assessment of their electrical and instrumentation knowledge and skills. The center is expected host an estimated 250 personnel during its first year of operation.
