MMR Training Center Certifies First Round of Craftsmen
September 8, 2014
MMR recently welcomed its first round of students to the Craftsmen Certification Program at its new training center in Baton Rouge, LA. Four craftsmen went through the week-long program to receive NCCER Assessment, NCCER Plus Certification and MMR Certification.
With an estimated $60 billion in construction projects coming to the Gulf South region over the next several years, the demand for skilled craftsmen is at an all-time high. Recognizing this need, MMR created the Craftsmen Training Center to provide an arena where its personnel can receive nationally-recognized training and certification not only to benefit the employee and company, but ultimately contribute to the success of the industry as a whole.
MMRs 15,000-square-foot facility features a state-of-the-art classroom and nearly 30 work stations where craftsmen experience hands-on training and assessment of their electrical and instrumentation knowledge and skills. The center is expected host an estimated 250 personnel during its first year of operation.
