At MMR, we are leading our industry in developing competitive programs to accelerate the personal and professional development of our people. MMR University (MMR-U) is our internal learning and development program, designed to prepare field personnel, professional staff and interns with the skills and knowledge needed to have a successful career at MMR.

MMR University provides curriculum and experience tailored to augment higher education and professional skill sets, cultivating a learning environment “where the classroom meets the real world.” We have developed a program that will preserve our company’s unique culture, while planning for the future at MMR. By investing in the growth of our employees, we are poised in developing a strong, talented workforce for generations to come.

FIELD OPERATIONS TRAINING

MMR University equips field personnel with the knowledge, skills and certifications necessary to excel in their roles and ensure safety on the job site. Our programs feature innovative training facilities, adaptive learning curriculums, mentorship opportunities and nationally recognized certifications.

MMR hosts a 15,000-square-foot Craft Training Center that is recognized by the National Center forConstruction Education and Research (NCCER) as an “Accredited Training Sponsor” and “AccreditedTrainingCenter.” We have developed an Electrical Journey worker Apprenticeship training program that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor and the state of Louisiana. Additionally, our digital learning platforms and mobile units allow employees to benefit from anytime, anywhere instruction.

PROFESSIONAL STAFF TRAINING

MMR has built a comprehensive framework that nurtures a culture of continuous learning.Professional staff employees have access to a wealth of resources specifically tailored to their professional development needs. In addition to internal development programs, professional staff benefit from tuition reimbursement, professional certifications, work-related courses, educational workshops and conferences.

Through the Louisiana Workforce Commission’s IWPT program, MMR provides state-funded courses for continued training and development. MMR also provides opportunities for employees to participate in leadership training programs held by local organizations, such as the LSU Rising Stars Program, ECCAssociation Future Leaders Program, Uncommon Leadership hosted by ABC Pelican and Human Dynamics, and more

INTERNSHIPS

MMR recruits students from a variety of studies, including accounting, business, computer science,construction management, electrical engineering, finance, human resource, industrial engineeringorequivalent. MMR provides its interns with lifelong skills and professional development opportunities,ultimately leading to long-term growth, talent retention and a dynamic company culture at MMR.

MMR University also offers a multi-year Estimating Internship program for Construction Management andElectrical Engineering majors that supplements higher education and/or professional experience with themost valuable skills for a successful career at MMR
