Power Development

SouthWestern Power

SouthWestern Power Group develops utility-scale electric generation and transmission assets in the desert southwest market. SWPG has a record of successful development including Arizona’s largest natural gas combined cycle plant (the 2,200 MW Panda Gila River generating station). In business since the late 1990’s, SWPG has experience in all generation technologies and has relationships with all the regional utilities. In addition, SWPG is a member of the WECC and WestConnect and is active in various regional transmission planning groups. SWPG is not a long-term owner of assets and frequently partners with IPPs on development projects.
